DJ Havana Brown’s debut vocal single ‘We Run The Night’ is the highest charting new single here this week, entering at #7. She’s been heading up her own dance compilations for years and now, supporting Britney, Rihanna, Chris Brown and Pussycat Dolls on tour but the siren of the turntables is now serving it up from behind the mic. According to The Music Network, the ‘We Run The Night’ is also the fifth most added new song to Australian radios this week.

David Guetta’s pumping new single ‘Where Them Girls At’ featuring Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj debuts at #3 in the UK and #34 in Australia this week. Other dance songs making an impact here include The Potbelleez’s new smash ‘From The Music’, flying up to #16 this week on our singles charts, and Grant Smillie and Zoe Badwi’s new single ‘Carry Me Home’ debuting at #36 on the Australian club charts. The original single edit is set to premiere later this week.

Wynter Gordon’s ‘Til Death’ isn’t exactly living it up. I now have grave fears that it’ll never achieve the same ubiquity ‘Dirty Talk’ enjoyed here over summer. The song slides from #21 to #24 on the ARIA singles chart this week while the remixes shoot up to #5 on our Australian club chart. I’m starting to see parallels between this and Zoe Badwi’s ‘Accidents Happen’, which also failed to match the success of its preceding single. Over in the UK, Wynter’s ‘Dirty Talk’ rises to #25. Let’s see what a bit of promo can do for it there.

Skrillex’s defining EP Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites cracks the Aussie album charts at #39 this week. Absolutely loving the filthy, sinister beats he’s serving – it’s just the kind of dark dubstep/electronica persuasion I need in my life right now.

Rupaul’s Glamazon struts onto the US Billboard Dance charts at #11 this week, selling over 2000 first-week copies. The record is only available digitally at the moment and when it comes to individual track sales, the Glamazon tracks pulled a collective 6000 downloads with ‘Superstar’ leading the pack with 3,000 copies sold. Glamazon is Mother Ru’s fifth studio album and her third to appear on the Billboard Dance/Electronic album chart – its predecessors include 2009’s Champion (#12) and 2004’s Red Hot (#4). The drag superstar’s first two albums aren’t noted because they were released before the goddamn dance charts were even created. Werk!

Jennifer Lopez’s Love? debuts at #6 in the UK and #11 in Australia this week. Here’s what’s really jacked up about the whole deal. I rushed out the very Friday the record came out in stores only to find that they were only stocking the standard edition of Love? – which is fine if you’re content with being viciously robbed of one more amazing Wynter Gordon track (‘Everybody’s Girl’). The deluxe edition – featuring four bonus tracks – is available online, though. So make sure you inspect the aforementioned track and ‘Charge Me Up’, an energetic sister track to ‘Invading My Mind’ and ‘Hypnotico’. J.Lo’s new single ‘I’m Into You’ is nowhere to be found in our ARIA Top 50 and over in the UK, it’s just entered at #40 this week. We’ll have to wait ‘til Wednesday to see where the album lands in the US. Nobody’s holding hopes for a Top 5 entry.

Beastie Boys’ Hot Sauce Committee Part Two debuts at #7 here. Good for them.

Adele’s 21 celebrates its 14th week at #1 in the UK and second week on top of the Australian album charts. According to The Music Network, the project’s lead single ‘Rolling In The Deep’ is picking up significant support from Nova and Today networks, and is steadily moving up the airplay charts. Over in the UK, ‘Set Fire to The Rain’ soars to #44 on the singles chart while album track ‘Turning Tables’ rises from #135 to #62, boosted by Gwyneth Paltrow’s Glee cover which debuts at #75 this week.

Jessie J’s third single ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ rises to #9 in the UK this week, making it the pop sensation’s third consecutive Top 10 smash. Could it go Top 3 like its predecessors? No pressure, boo. In Australia, ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ debuts at #63 on our airplay charts.

Blue’s comeback single slash Eurovision song ‘I Can’ debuts at #16. I’m gonna leave this right here with a couple of napkins, in case you need to wipe up after.

Ellie Goulding’s ‘Your Song’ comes throttling back up the UK charts this week, moving from #75 to #56, while her Lights album jumps up to #10. Over in the States, Ellie’s evidently won herself a few more fans after a golden performance on Saturday Night Live (this episode also featured Tina Fey, who Ellie has called her “favourite lady ever” – gold star sticker.) Ms Goulding told Billboard, “I had to do some promos with her yesterday, and everyone said I just turned into this weird shy girl around her.” I mean, wouldn’t you?

An Horse’s new album Walls debuts at #17 on the US Billboard Heatseekers’ chart this week. The Aussie duo’s been working it Stateside for a number of years now, first gaining prominence after touring with Tegan and Sara in 2008. Kelly Rowland’s ‘Motivation’ keeps ascending the US R&B charts, rising to a new peak of #6 this week. The single is currently placed at #43 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #38 on the digital charts. Elsewhere – because it’s schadenfreudic to make this kinda comparison – Beyonce’s ‘Run The World (Girls)’ is positioned at #41 on the US R&B charts, #48 on the Hot 100 and #39 on the digital charts. Looking outside the States, Kelly’s ‘Motivation’ has yet to appear on the UK and Aussie singles charts but B’s ‘Run The World’ drops to #19 and #21 there respectively.

Jennifer Hudson’s I Remember Me sinks from its #20 debut in the UK last week to #49. Promo work – where you at? The album, which was rush released to Aussie retailers, fails to impact our Top 50 this week [Editor’s note: OK, fine. It debuted at #20 on our ARIA urban chart]. I expect for things to improve when she arrives in Australia in a few weeks’ time. She has so far been confirmed to warble on Dancing With The Stars and Sunrise.

Random Aussie iTunes chart treasure of the day: All Saints‘s 200o splendour ‘Pure Shores’ is currently #97 on the dance chart and further down – because Natasha Bedingfield‘s ‘Pocketful of Sunshine’ is stupidly not made available in this country – some disgusting low-rent house cover of it by Jia Clayton‘s nabbing all the sales to chart at #192.
